I had my home siding replaced and painted and a nice new cedar porch built.They did an excellent job on the projects.It looks beautiful and they let me work with them on specific porch details we flushed out along the way... which was key for me.I also liked the recommended change they made to the to the roof line to make the pitch in the middle rather than a lean to porch style.Michael seemed open, honest and detailed from the start and they were the only company that offered full payment at the end of the project completion which was big for me. Great crew to work with as well.Also appreciated the level of details Michael went into for the siding and painting process. I had an amazing experience with Genuine Texas Exteriors! They replaced the siding and painted the entire exterior of my house, and the process was super easy. All I had to do was give them my address, and they created a quote using satellite measurements. The quote included detailed diagrams and pictures of each step of their work.Sam, the consultant, was fantastic! She was always responsive and answered all my questions. After I accepted the quote, both Sam and the owner, Michael, came to address my questions and requests. They were incredibly accommodating, making my decision so easy.Despite some weather delays, the installation was super fast. They removed all the old siding in just one day, and by the next day, all the new siding was up! The painting was completed in just one day too. I met with Michael (owner) prior to starting our roof replacement. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He walked me through all of the steps and did not pressure us into anything.We evaluated multiple other roofing companies but their prices were 10% higher on average than Genuine Texas Exteriors.I felt confident with Michael so we decided to move forward. The only hesitation was that we have solar panels and they contract out the solar panel removal and reinstallation.Pros:Competitive pricingQuick installation (roughly 2 weeks to start the job)Friendly serviceThe roof looks great and seems to be done well. No leaks so far that we can tell and it's been about 6 months.Cons:The outsourced solar panel company damaged one of our gutters. Michael did compensate us for the damage but only after I brought it up and asked for a resolution.The clean up was not as thorough as expected. We continue to find roofing nails in our backyard. Highly recommend doing multiple sweeps after they leave if you have dogs.Michael used spray paint on the metal flashing to make it blend with the shingles. Unfortunately he did not tape off the area and so he got black spray paint on the stucco of our light yellow/orange house.Overall the roofing work seems to be done competently and for a reasonable price.
