Cardinal Roofing & Siding Introduce
For residents of Florida, a state known for its intense sun and powerful storms, the integrity of a home's roof is a top priority. A reliable and professional roofing contractor is not just a luxury; it's a critical partner in protecting a significant investment. When choosing a company, it's essential to look beyond the initial sales pitch and consider a contractor's full track record, including their project management, communication, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Cardinal Roofing & Siding, located in Port St. Lucie, Florida, is one of many companies serving the local community. This article provides a detailed overview of their operations, based on publicly available information and customer feedback, to help local homeowners and business owners make an informed decision about their roofing needs.
The roofing industry in Florida is competitive, and companies often distinguish themselves through a combination of service quality, communication, and post-project support. Cardinal Roofing & Siding operates within this landscape, offering a range of services to meet the diverse needs of local residents. While every company aims for positive outcomes, the reality of construction projects can sometimes present challenges, and how a company handles these challenges is often the true measure of its professionalism. This overview aims to present a factual picture of Cardinal Roofing & Siding, highlighting the information that is most relevant to locals who are currently in the market for a new roof, repairs, or siding services. We will explore their service offerings, their physical presence in the community, and the experiences of previous customers to provide a well-rounded perspective.
The company's approach to project management and customer relations is a key factor for anyone considering their services. A roofing project is a significant undertaking, often involving complex logistics with insurance companies, mortgage providers, and material suppliers. As such, clear communication, adherence to agreed-upon timelines and payment schedules, and a commitment to quality workmanship are paramount. Reviews from past clients often highlight these areas, providing a valuable glimpse into the company's operational practices. One review, for instance, details a protracted project that involved disputes over payment terms, delays, and subsequent interior water damage. The reviewer points out that despite prior agreements on payment terms with the insurance and mortgage company, the roofing contractor paused work, which allegedly led to the improper "dry-in" of the roof and subsequent damage. This type of feedback is crucial for potential clients to consider, as it underscores the importance of verifying all contract details and payment terms upfront.
Located at 1601 SE South Niemeyer Cir, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952, USA, Cardinal Roofing & Siding has a physical presence that is accessible to residents of Port St. Lucie and the surrounding areas. The address places them in a position to serve the Treasure Coast region, a dynamic and growing part of Florida. Their location is central for local clients who may wish to visit their office for consultations, review material samples, or discuss project details in person. A local presence often suggests a commitment to the community they serve, but it is also important to consider a company’s operational efficiency and how they manage their workload. As one review indicates, a company can be so busy with new projects that it may not be able to address issues on older projects, even those within a reasonable timeframe. This can be a concern for customers who expect timely support and post-installation service, highlighting the need for clear communication regarding warranties and service availability.

While a company’s list of services is important, their features and highlights—particularly those related to customer service and work quality—are often more telling. In the case of Cardinal Roofing & Siding, customer reviews offer significant insights into these aspects. One homeowner, who had a barrel tile roof installed five years ago, discovered leaks during a home inspection. Upon contacting the company, they were informed that the roof had only a three-year warranty and that the company was too busy with new projects to handle repairs. This experience highlights the critical importance of understanding and clarifying warranty terms before any work begins. It also underscores a potential challenge with post-installation support, as the homeowner felt the company was unprofessional and unhelpful. For a local resident, this information is vital, as it raises questions about accountability and the company’s commitment to standing by its work, even if it falls outside of the official warranty period.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I signed a contract with Cardinal Roofing in February with an estimate start date of 6-8 weeks. The roof did not start until June. After Cardinal Roofing dried in the roof, they walked away because they wanted another payment. They were aware and had agreed to accept the payment terms of the insurance/mortgage company (who was holding the payment). 25% was issued to begin and the insurance/mortgage company had to send an inspector to assess the work before issuing another payment. Cardinal Roofing failed to secure the dry-in. This caused water intrusion to my home, with multiple water spots throughout the home. After several weeks of fighting for them to go back and finish the roof, Cardinal Roofing finally completed the roof replacement but has still not repaired the interior damage professionally.Cardinal Roofing is horrible about communication. Bruce is unprofessional and yelled on the phone. All they cared about was payment -- which ended up being $920 more for the roof (I don't believe they did replace all the plywood they said that they did) and it doesn't include the money I am and will be out for the interior damage.Even if they didn't want to follow the payment terms that they had previously agreed to, the roof should have been dried-in properly and the damages should have been handled professionally and corrected the first time. This is still an ongoing issue with a lawsuit on the horizon. I have filed a complaint with the State Inspector and BBB.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! They are very unprofessional and do not accept accountability.**Keep in mind these are only some of the photos. And we have photos before this roof began to show that the home had no previous interior damage for the months that we waited for them to start the replacement. The home was on the market for sale until this occurred.
July 25 · Krystal RhodenI thought I was using a reputable company to install a newbarrel tile roof 5 years ago. Cardinal Roofing was recommended to me thru family who had used them. 4 years later I decided to sell my house. Upon home inspection they found 2 leaks. They were in areas that were hard to spot from the attic. The estimated cost to fix was between 6 to 7 thousand dollars. To me, I would still consider it a pretty new roof. I immediately called Cardinal roofing and asked to speak to Bruce my salesman at the time. I explained the situation to the secretary. She said either Bruce or someone else would get back to me. A day later, the secretary had called me back and said the roof only had a 3 year warranty on it. I said how can a roof of 4 years already failed like this. She said they may have hit piping when installing. I said well I need it fixed ,since my house selling depends on it. She said we are to busy with new roofs, we are not repairing any roofs. I said I was a customer, why wouldn't you come out and at least look at it, maybe it was poor workmanship. She continued to tell me no one could come out. I was disgusted with her answer and the unprofessional response to help me. Needless to say I ate the 6 to 7 thousand of my selling price of the house. This company does inferior work with no backing up of their product. It may have been out of warranty , but a $22,000 dollar roof should not have had leaks in just 4 years. Beware of this company, they are a joke as is Bruce hiding behind his secretary.
January 30 · Edward CaglianoI would highly recommend Cardinal Roofing to anyone looking to replace their roof. Bruce Roessner, the estimator, is literally the KINDEST man who truly goes the extra mile to ensure that the customer is happy! I was so impressed after meeting Bruce, that I would not have gone anywhere else. He made my decision a very easy one. Jennifer Davis, the office manager, is knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly! She makes you feel as though you are in very capable hands, as she dazzles you with her knowledge of shingles and roofing materials, of which I know NOTHING. LOL. Both of these people are a HUGE asset to Cardinal Roofing. The work crew was fast, efficient, and courteous, and not only did a fantastic job on the roof, but also did an immaculate clean up job around my property after their work was finished. I really cannot say enough about Cardinal Roofing. A+ Service at a very fair price!
July 16 · Christina ShawCardinal Roofing did a great job for me and my client. I called four roofing contractors in the area and Cardinal Roofing was the only one to get back to me with an estimate. They were prompt, courteous and professional. I will recommend them to anyone who needs roof repairs or replacement.Bruce G. Hammond - REALTOR
February 17 · Bruce HammondWe hired cardinal roofing in February of 2017 they seemed to be an honest company. First complaint is that we signed the contract and I asked them to please call me a week in advance because we wanted to make sure we had all the funds available from our insurance company due to hurricane Mathew, they told us no problem. Well I get a call at work and my kids told me they had started work on our roof, at this point my roof was off. I called Bruce and said I thought you were going to call a week before to make sure our funds were available he stated well we can stop the job. How can they stop the job when the roof is just plywood? I could have seen what the inside of my house would have looked like if I would have left it like that. Well cardinal roofing was done with the job. We got our final bill they had quoted us 5 sheets of plywood on the contract but when we got our final bill they included 36 sheets of plywood that came out to a lot more money out of our pocket . It would have been nice of them to let us know that the job would have been so much more. Of course we had not settled with our insurance company yet this is why I wanted a call before they started. Bruce called me demanding payment for the job I told him we just don't have it at this time Bruce then called me every name under the sun and threatened to sue us. We then reached out to our insurance adjuster to speak with cardinal roofing to manage this matter. 2 months later we receive paperwork in the mail that we are being sued. At this time my wife called them to try to set up a payment plan, cardinal was very rude to her, told her to contact their lawyer and hung up on her. Current day, we go to court, the judge assists us to set a payment plan....mind you it is the exact same payment plan that my wife proposed before going to court. Now we have both missed a day of work and had to deal with the courthouse. All over a matter that could have been resolved months ago. They are very unprofessional, inconsiderate, and to this day I do not even know if they put that ply wood on my roof or not. They have no proof of materials used. And to boot they tried charging us $6000 for attorneys fees. Thank god the judge saw that amount of money as dishonest and unreasonable. The trouble that we went through over this roof with this roofing company is distasteful and ridiculous to say the least. Beware!!! They will over charge, hide fees, push you into a situation, and pad their charges. Vince I read your review and you are right Bruce was so nice before we gave him the job then his true colors came out he is truly a ass hole he treats people very little
