As someone who grew up in a contractor family and has rehabbed multiple homes prior to moving to Arizona, I can confidently say that the recent interior paint job on my house was a significant disappointment. If you're looking for a professional finish on a high-value home, I strongly advise you to stay away and look elsewhere. If you're looking to make your home look like it was painted by your first college landlord, you've found your guys.The issues began with professionalism. The job kept getting delayed, which is not the issue because I know jobs can take longer than anticipated, pushing back the ones that follow. While I understand that delays can occur, the crew's daily schedule offers an explanation. They routinely arrived around 10 AM, took a two-hour lunch, and left by 4 PM, which hardly constitutes a full day's work. The arrived on their start day, a Friday, and said they could not get started because they needed to get paint and by that time they could only get an hour or two of work in. They arrived Monday, without supplies. Throughout the project, they complained about the amount of painting to be done, and towards the end, they even tried to claim the job was billed by the hour rather than for completing the painting of the house. This led to a rushed job, and it clearly shows in the final product.The quality of the work itself was frankly unacceptable, and I have seen most DIY enthusiasts achieve a better result. The ceiling lines are incredibly messy, appearing as if they were finger-painted by a toddler without supervision. There's paint splatter on almost every single piece of woodwork. They opted for caulk to fill wall holes, citing that joint compound "takes 24 hours" to dry—despite being on site for six days. Even then, the caulk was applied improperly, with sunken holes appearing throughout the house less than a week later. As a bonus, half of the outlet and switch covers have been cracked.The best way I can describe seeing the finished result is heartbreak. I'm now faced with the prospect of spending twice the amount I originally paid to have all the wood casings stripped and refinished, and to hire a professional to fix the shoddy paintwork. Otherwise, given my schedule, I'll be spending months attempting to fix it myself.I would not allow this crew anywhere near my house again. I suppose I should say something positive: the people who give you the quote and take your money are extremely nice, and they have nothing to do with painting your house.Edited for spelling.

After years of grumbling about the light-sucking two-tone beige paint the prior owner had used in the interior of our 90's "largish house with smallish rooms" home, we asked CertaPro to bring some light to our home via a full interior repaint. Jeshua promptly provided a through, professional estimate, and their rather elaborate system ensures that the job requirements are accurately described. Carlos and Gloria reported to handle the job, and while things got a bit drawn out due to some unanticipated factors, the two delivered an excellent job throughout the house. They were patient beyond words (I can lose it just looking at a paint brush, let alone painting a home for days on end), consistently communicated with us from the moment they left home for the job site; daily reviewed progress with us, and adapted to working around our "helpful" pets. They also staged the work to minimize disruption to our daily routine (we are semiretired and mostly underfoot at home) and readily added a couple changes to the contract--a small accent wall for the kitchen and beautifully re-varnishing a French door that our Cat-in-Charge had mauled as a kitten. Seriously mauled. All in all, we are delighted with the new light in our home, and the steady, dedicated, and friendly efforts of our painting team. Well done, CertaPro!
