I hired Lars do to a complete top-to-bottom home renovation and they did a spectacular job. From the moment I met Lars’ President Brandon Spann I was very impressed by his professionalism and direct, clear communication. The entire Lars team was outstanding. I worked closely with in-house Senior Interior Designer Danni Greenstein putting together a comprehensive design plan, and with Project Manager Paul Harte throughout the entire construction process. Both are top notch professionals. Paul’s right hand man Alfredo was an integral contributor throughout the construction, ensuring everything met my expectations. I am extremely pleased with the result- it’s no surprise Lars continues to be an award-winning leader in the industry. Highly recommend!

We worked with Lars to add a second story to our 1972 ranch house. It was basically a tear-down/rebuild as the foundation needed so much work that very little of the original structure could be retained. It was a big job and we’re busy people so we wanted to select a reputable firm that would manage everything. We signed a contract in the fall of 2021 and finished the job in spring 2024 (~6 months of design, ~11 months waiting for permits, 1 year of construction). We've been in the house for a year now and, at a high level, we're very happy with how it turned-out and feel positive about our interactions with Lars. It was a complicated project and they generally handled it with integrity and professionalism and the end-result was good.That said, there were positives- and negatives, as you would expect from any such lengthy interaction:Positives:---> The architect did beautiful work and designed a lovely home. I had spent years trying to think of how to optimally arrange the space and their design was just instantly so much better than anything I'd considered. We were very satisfied with this part and felt they did a very high quality job.---> Our project manager (Paul H) was very good. They schedule weekly on-site meetings for walk-throughs and I always looked forward to these. Paul took careful notes and handled any issues that came-up. He was very responsive via phone and text and would respond quickly to my messages even at odd hours or on weekends. Communication was generally great.---> There were essentially no unexpected costs. The planning process is very detailed and the resulting contract was accurate. Except for a few voluntary changes along the way, the original contracted cost was spot-on.---> The job completed almost on-time: they estimated the construction would take 9 months and it ended-up taking 1 year.Negatives:---> The sales process was kind of scammy. The salesperson (Betsy) visited our house and assured us they'd be able to meet our needs within our budget range, tho they can't provide a formal estimate until you have detailed plans. We signed a design-agreement based on this assurance, which required a $7k deposit, and a few weeks later they came-back with two beautiful designs that were ~40% and ~15% above the top-end of our budget range. It's probably quite difficult for the salesperson to know what the job will actually cost, but we decided to proceed with Lars in-part due to her assurances, and once you commit the money you can't take the plans with you. We obviously decided to move forward, but the sales process felt like a bit of a bait-and-switch.---> The interior design services they offer were not worth much. The interior designers we worked with weren’t particularly helpful. They were able take us to stores and point us at catalogs, but didn’t helped much with the aesthetics or overall look. If you know exactly what you want, or don't care much about the resulting look, then maybe this won't matter much. But I felt pretty unsupported in this department. The exception was when we designed our kitchen cabinets - the decorator and cabinet designer (Ty from Holland's) were very helpful. But the rest of the design input was pretty perfunctory. They'd do a google image search and show me a bunch of options -- I can do that myself.In summary – the end result was fantastic. We were able to nearly double the size of our house and the Lars crew was professional, competent, and conscientious. It was expensive, but you pay for them to just deal with everything. A year after the job was complete, a few minor issues have come-up and they still come-out to deal with anything that needs attention. If you can afford it, I’d recommend them.

We attended the Lars Remodeling event over the weekend. It was incredibly informative and educational. The hosted event was well curated with engaging speakers and a spectacular brunch spread. We have a consultation scheduled this Thursday with one of their representatives. We are looking forward to what we might be able to achieve in our new home with their help.

There are not enough positive adjectives to describe our experience with Lars. We had an addition and total house remodel done by Lars to meet our multigenerational needs. We were in need of a construction company because our current company had gone bankrupt. We met Brandon quite by accident and there was an immediate sense that all four of the adults just knew this was the right fit for us. There was a trust and a comfort level we had not experienced prior to meeting with him. Then we had the pleasure of working with Erica, the perfect designer! She just had a sense for what our wishes were and fit them to our budget. She had amazing suggestions that we incorporated into our home. We’ve been back in our home now for 6 months and I think I am still thanking her daily for her input on something we love. Then we were able to work with Owen, the best project manager on earth! Owen kept everything moving along so well that we actually finished ahead of schedule by weeks! He offered suggestions that made our house look amazing. We met with him weekly to check the progress. And Randy did a wonderful job with all of our punch list items. He is very detailed and things were perfectly finished off. These people were all so amazing and communication with any of them was superb. I simply cannot stress enough how communication was a key component with the success of our project. We would give Lars 10 stars if we could!

I love my new kitchen ~ Lars transformed my 1949 kitchen / Laundry and bathroom into a masterpiece now suited to year 2023. What I admired the most from this Company was their commitment to us the customer to getting the work done that was laid out before them… My appliances are a dream to use and enjoy and were carefully selected under Matthew and delivered with care under Paul for the finished product . I wish to personally thank Betsy, the initial Lars representative for being attentive to our project ,all along the way, She always checked in during intervals of highs and lows , to see how I was doing, and answered all my questions…I cherish the friendships and the many people of the different trades I met along the way. I thank this Company for the leadership, attention, and service to us through the long road of remodeling these areas of our home . We are very much enjoying our new kitchen, 1/2 bath, Laundry room.
