The Sisson Company is one of the best companies we ever worked with! We have built several homes during lives and never had an easier experience. They are very honest and build a quality home. Everything they promised was done and done well. They back up their work!

July 21 · Mark SullinsJohn Soave Construction And Clay to Custom Construction and Sisson DuPont & Carder, Inc where the wood was purchased. Mr. Carder and Mr. SINDLEDECKER that came up to the house to inspect, AFTER MY CALLS to them we thought surely they can see that the floor is totally inferior, not even a call from either I had to track Mr. Carder down and says that MR SINDLEDECKER SAID WE WERE JUST FINE WITH THEM ......no-one is taking responsibility for the poor workmanship or poor wood quality and to add two homes were being built at the same time ours was had their floors totally redone because they had faulty installation and the wood....however when we report to JOHN SOAVE THE CONTRACTOR JFS, CONSTRUCTION AND LUCYD’AMICO AND ARNOLD SINDLEDECKER ( husband and wife) AT CLAY TO CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION EVERYONE RUNS THE OTHER WAY and No-one will resolve our floor, just because they say there is a warranty it doesn’t mean they will fix it! A word to perspective people considering building: When building a house match every receipt to every purchase make sure it’s for your house and not another project the builders are working on at the same time.To replaceArnold Sindledecker and Lucy D’Amico we’re employed by John Soave, JFS, Construction was contracted to build our dream vacation home over 600k not including the land valued over 800k. Things were going well in 2018 but 3/4 of the way they had disagreements and severed their relationship and opened their company CLAY TO CUSTOM.. Since we were working primarily with Arnold Sindledecker which had control of everything, design, materials, etc. we were so devastated of their shocking breakup we insisted SOAVE ALLOW ARNOLD to complete what he had started. John Soave travels and his employees do the work so he’s barely involved, when you meet him he is a smooth talker, good old boy type, down to earth to get you to sign his contract ( which means nothing he won’t cover the warranty , look at his record in the courts of his mediations) only in the initial Our relationship was good and truly believed he would do a great job, we were paying top dollar which our overage was way way over budget AS WELL AS WASTE. We have a rustic home however refined everything tip of the line, the floors were very disappointing gas you can have rustic look but NOT LOOKING LIKE AN OLD BARN WHICH IS WHAT WE GOT! Like out of a horror story, people can be nice and accommodating but OH MY GOSH Not this ! it has been a nightmare, after calling Clay to Custom Construction, John Soave, telling them are problem communication stopped, ignored phone calls, we hired a Professional Wood Inspector with a 31 page report of faulty installation, not curing properly, poor quality of wood, the wood floor specialists came to assess the problems which arose 4 to 5 months after closing, a whole house humidifier was installed by the HVAC company that installed our heat and air, professionally done not a Home Depot unit. which we monitor by an app and regulated constantly. our floors are in excess of $38,000.00, cannot be refinished, must be removed and replaced.A dream of building in the mountains can turn into a nightmare and the floors get worse by the days!
September 26 · Lou ceraFriendly and helpful staff. Only place to purchase lumber in Blue Ridge, in my opinion.
