Atlanta Roofing and Siding Introduce
For residents of Georgia, a home’s exterior is its primary defense against the state’s humid summers and unpredictable weather. A well-maintained roof and siding system is not just about curb appeal; it’s about protecting your most valuable asset. When the time comes to hire a professional to handle these crucial tasks, the choice of contractor is a significant decision. It's an investment in your home’s longevity and your own peace of mind. Atlanta Roofing and Siding is a name that appears in the local market, and for homeowners doing their due diligence, it's essential to understand not only the services offered but also the customer experience they can expect. This article aims to provide a clear and factual overview to help locals make an informed decision about this particular company.
The initial impression a company makes is often the most important, and in the service industry, customer service is the backbone of that first impression. For many, a phone call is the first point of contact. This initial interaction can set the tone for the entire working relationship, and it's where homeowners often decide whether to move forward with a company. While the technical skill of a contractor is paramount, the professionalism, friendliness, and responsiveness of the team are also critical factors that contribute to a positive and stress-free experience. A company's ability to communicate effectively, listen to a customer's needs, and provide a helpful, respectful experience is just as vital as the quality of their craftsmanship.
Public reviews for Atlanta Roofing and Siding, in particular concerning an individual named Will, raise significant points for consideration. Multiple customers have described experiences of poor communication, rudeness, and abruptness on the phone. These accounts detail instances where potential clients were cut off and spoken to in a hostile manner, even when trying to ask simple, "novice" questions about their roofing or siding needs. The reviews suggest a pattern of a brusque and impatient demeanor, leading customers to feel shocked, appalled, and confused. This feedback highlights a major disconnect in the customer service experience and serves as a significant red flag for potential clients who believe that a professional and pleasant attitude should go hand-in-hand with quality work. The accounts from these customers, who were simply seeking quotes for projects, indicate that the company’s approach to customer communication may be a serious barrier to doing business.
Atlanta Roofing and Siding is located at 3355 Lenox Rd NE #750z, Atlanta, GA 30326, USA. This is a central address within the Atlanta metropolitan area, which typically suggests that a company is well-positioned to serve a wide range of local communities. A central location is often an advantage, as it allows for a more efficient response to service calls and makes the business accessible to a larger customer base.
From this perspective, the physical location of Atlanta Roofing and Siding is geographically suitable for locals in and around the city. A company that is based locally often has a better understanding of the specific building regulations and architectural styles of the area, which can be beneficial for a homeowner. However, while a central location is a positive attribute, it must be considered alongside other factors, such as the customer service experience that homeowners can expect. Accessibility, in the context of a service-based business, must include both physical proximity and ease of communication and interaction.
Based on the company's name, Atlanta Roofing and Siding, and the content of the customer reviews, we can infer the range of services they likely offer.
Roofing Services: The company provides estimates for and performs work on roofs. This would include common services such as roof replacement and repair, especially for older roofs as mentioned in one review.
Siding Services: They also offer services related to siding, as a customer called to inquire about an estimate for siding work. This would likely include installation, repair, and replacement of various types of siding.
Home Exterior Consultation: The nature of the inquiries, from roof replacements on townhomes to siding estimates, suggests they offer consultations and quotes for various home exterior projects.
When considering a service provider, highlights and features can be a powerful way to gauge a company's suitability. However, in this case, the most prominent features based on available data are related to customer experience.
Poor Customer Service: Multiple reviews from different people highlight a consistent issue with poor customer service from a staff member named Will. This includes rudeness, hostility, and abruptly ending phone calls with potential customers.
Potential for Quality Work: It is worth noting that the reviews do not critique the actual quality of the work. As one customer wrote, the company may "very well do excellent work," but this is an unverified assumption based on the limited interactions described.
Ineffective Communication: The reviews point to a serious lack of effective communication, where customers were not given the opportunity to explain their needs or ask questions without being cut off.

Phone: (404) 720-2775

For any homeowners looking to get a quote, this information is the first step in the process. However, based on the public reviews, it would be wise to prepare for the possibility of a difficult initial interaction.
In conclusion, for locals in the Georgia region, the suitability of Atlanta Roofing and Siding is a complex matter. On one hand, their central Atlanta location and the nature of their business align with the needs of homeowners seeking exterior renovation and repair services. A company with a local presence can be a valuable resource. However, it is impossible to ignore the consistent and negative feedback regarding customer service. For many people, the process of a major home repair, such as a roof or siding replacement, is stressful enough without adding the challenge of dealing with rude or hostile communication from a potential contractor.
As one customer wisely pointed out, "excellent work and excellent customer service go hand in hand." A contractor's ability to be professional and respectful is a key indicator of how they will handle challenges that arise during a project. A red flag at the beginning of the conversation may be an indicator of how the company operates throughout the entire job. While Atlanta Roofing and Siding may very well do quality work, the negative experiences of multiple potential customers regarding their communication style suggest that homeowners should proceed with caution and carefully weigh the importance of customer service when making their final decision.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I wanted to use this business, but after only 2 minutes on the phone with Will, he hung up on me. Our case is a bit unorthodox, but I don't feel that I was even able to explain it before he ended the call abruptly. He did say that he was a "cool guy to work with" but accused me of trying to "get smart" with him. Again, we had a not so unique, but novice question which was as follows:We're under contract on a townhome where we known the roof to be 18 years old and to be the owner's responsibility to replace. So I asked for a quote on the project. While I understand that I'm not the present owner I wanted to get my name on his list and schedule for shortly after close, which seemed reasonable to me (apparently this type of request in roofing is heresy, but it's not for windows (Pella is coming out on inspection day)). Not to mention the upside potential of possibly cross selling into surrounding units and doing a larger project. I knew it would take a "cool guy" or at least an enterprising one to hear me out, but I couldn't get far enough down the path before I was hung up on.I guess business is booming, but I can't recommend working with someone with this style of customer service.
July 16 · Ben HowardI just had a terrible customer service experience. I called to inquire about getting an estimate on siding for our home. The man I spoke with had a very nasty tone, was extremely rude, and proceeded to cut me off. This was from the onset of the conversation. I even attempted to turn the conversation around to a more pleasant tone and he became increasingly more hostile and I found myself saying in my mind, "How did we even get to this point??" When he began cutting me off, I stopped and said, "Ok. I'll wait." He responded, "Wait for what?" I explained to him that I was waiting for my turn to speak since he insisted on cutting me off. He continued to be nasty and I politely said, "It's apparent that we got off to a bad start, so I don't think this would be a good fit. Have a good day." He responded with,"Yeah, you just beat me to the punch." Unbelievable.I have been a teacher for 8 years. Being a teacher requires a great deal of customer service skills. Prior to that, I worked in the customer service industry for 13 years answering phones, serving customer needs, responding to emails, etc. A customer's first impression means absolutely everything. This begs the questions, "Does he even want business? Is he in the wrong line of business? Should he hand the reigns of the customer communication side of the business to someone who is more customer-service oriented?" If he keeps this behavior up, he is putting that company and those employed at that company in serious jeopardy of losing potential customers. I am still sitting here shocked, appalled, and confused as to what I just experienced.I read the reviews and I see that other people have had a terrible experience with this person(I pray it's not more than just him and that we are all referring to the one person). I'm not leaving this review for the purpose of telling anyone to run in the other direction. This company may very well do excellent work. However, please just consider that excellent work and excellent customer service go hand in hand. If a person you are potentially hiring displays this sort of attitude at the onset of the conversation, this is a huge red flag. Best of luck to you.
April 03 · B. M.I spoke with Will to schedule an estimate for some siding work on a house we were considering purchasing during our due diligence period. Will was rude initially when scheduling the estimate, getting angry with me when I corrected him after he said he wanted to schedule "the work" and I clarified we wanted an estimate done, not the work itself. Clyde, who came out and did the estimate, was on time and very nice. However, when Will called back with Clyde's estimate, I told him we didn't think we were going through with the purchase on the house, at which point he said, "So we did this estimate for no reason?" even though we clearly explained we were trying to decide whether we could afford to have the work done before purchasing the house. I was extremely unhappy with Will's attitude throughout the process, and we will not be contacting Atlanta Roofing and Siding for any work in the future after this experience.EDIT: In regards to the response below, there is still somehow a misunderstanding despite the issue being explained multiple times, which plays into our initial complaint. We DID intend to purchase the home, as we explained multiple times, but we wanted estimates to ensure that we could afford to get the work done it after we purchased it. Atlanta Roofing & Siding's estimate was the last one we received, at which point we made the decision not to go through with the purchase of the home. Will called my phone multiple times after he saw the review I left, asking me to take it down, but we are both so unhappy with our experience that we have decided to keep it up and edit it to ensure that this miscommunication is hopefully resolved and future customers are aware of the issues they may have when working with this company.
March 13 · Becca HardestyDo NOT do business with this company. The owner, Will Stogner, offered a free estimate, and later provided an unprofessional, unofficial quote with no details for the services he was offering. While waiting on competitor quotes (which we told him we were seeking), we received a bogus "invoice" in the mail from him for $2,500 for "stealing revenue" from his company for failing to hire them.Just a desperate and pathetic attempt to coerce payment from clients who never made any commitment to hire him.
March 27 · Ryan FitzpatrickCompany did a siding repair and estimate on siding replacement. Worked with Will and Chris. Both were pleasant and courteous and got the job taken care of quickly and efficiently! Will definitely be working with them again when the time comes to replace the siding completely!
