Being an engineer, I’m very particular and detail-oriented. Having remodeled several homes I’ve owned through the years, I knew my 70-year-old Cape Cod would be a challenge with a number of unforeseen conditions waiting for me behind the siding and under the roofing. Not being as young as I once was, I decided to hire a contractor to tackle this one. I developed my scope of work and started reviewing several contractors’ Google reviews as a starting point, and used some word-of-mouth recommendations. After gathering several proposals and meeting with up to five different contractors, I settled on Bel Island, as they understood the project, had a clear plan, and effectively communicated the various nuances of the work and their approach to the challenges that lay ahead. Their price was competitive (not the lowest, but close enough where their level of communication and understanding tipped the scale for me).As expected, the project presented several challenges and unforeseen conditions. Andrei had a plan for each situation, offering a fair and reasonable price, and in some cases, alternative solutions with their pros and cons. The project, which included whole-house siding, trim, windows, and roofing, was completed in a short 2-week duration. The pricing was fair and reasonable, with fantastic results. I would not hesitate to use Bel Island again, and I recommend you consider Bel Island for your project.

We recently worked with Andrei and his team for a full siding replacement with unfinished cedar shingles, PVC trim, and new gutters in Sandwich. The whole experience was easy and the work was top notch. Andrei was exceptionally responsive and he listened. We had multiple contractors out to give quotes and Andrei was the only one who really listened to me and could see my vision.One specific example-- I wanted very limited PVC around lights etc. The foreman had to leave just a bit early one day and the crew put a larger piece of PVC under the electrical box. The next day, the foreman recognized this mistake, confirmed with me it was not how I wanted it, and then fixed it. Easy peasy and excellent execution of my vision.The price was one of the lowest we received. And there were no unexpected additional costs. The team showed up on time every day. They worked very hard even during a July heat wave. The job was completed on time with a tight deadline.I would highly recommend Andrei and the Bel Islands team! This was one of the best experiences with a contractor I have ever had. Seriously, five stars from start to finish.

Andrei and his crew(s) at Bel Islands Home Improvement are the very Best! Highly efficient and professional! We had a tree fall on our house which impaled the roof in 4 places and crushed roof rafters. It was not your ordinary roof job. It was a structural mess. They came in and stripped 2 layers of shingles, opened the roof up, replaced rafters, tighten everything up with fresh plywood, installed the new roof shingles, all while working around my Mason rebuilding my chimney. We also had them rip out and replace all of our trim and upgraded to Azek. Then, finished with new gutters and downspouts. I cannot say enough about how every single man and woman on his crew did an exemplary job! Most importantly to my wife and I was the amount of communication we had with Andrei every step of the way. Highly highly highly recommend and will certainly use Bel Island again in the future should the need arise! Thank you much Andrei!

Andrei and the Bel Islands team have completed two projects for us, a dozen windows and three decks. Both have been done professionally and look great! Andrei communicated effectively throughout each project, keeping me updated on progress, working within the budget and thoroughly discussing all options when anything changed. I recommend Bel Islands without reservation.
