Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief, LLC Introduce
For homeowners and businesses in Florida, finding a reliable and trustworthy roofing and construction company is a critical decision, especially in a state where severe weather can create unexpected and urgent needs. The integrity of your home’s roof is paramount, and selecting the right partner for new installations, repairs, or disaster relief is a choice that can affect your property for years to come. Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief, LLC, located in Ormond Beach, has been an entity in the local market, offering services that, based on available public information, have raised significant concerns among customers. As a company operating in a sector that is vital for our community, it's essential for locals to have a clear and factual understanding of its operations, customer experiences, and business practices. This overview aims to provide that information, drawing directly from public feedback to help Florida residents make informed decisions when it comes to their most important asset—their home.
In a region where roofing and construction work is in high demand, particularly after a storm, the reputation of a company is built on its track record of quality workmanship and customer care. The provided reviews for Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief, LLC highlight a series of serious issues that potential customers should be aware of. These accounts detail instances of unfinished work, new problems created during the installation process, and a reported lack of communication and follow-up from the company’s management. A major concern noted by a customer was having a new roof installed over a wet surface, leading to leaks and interior damage. Another detailed a prolonged, frustrating experience that included a year and a half delay on a roofing job, incomplete work, and a subsequent report of fraudulent insurance claims. These documented experiences paint a picture that is, at best, inconsistent with the level of professionalism and reliability that Florida residents rightfully expect from a contractor, particularly one that operates in the disaster relief sector.
---Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief, LLC is located at 454 S Yonge St suite d, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, USA. This location places the company in a central area of Ormond Beach, making it geographically accessible to residents in the surrounding communities of Volusia County. The office’s presence in a local business hub suggests that the company is part of the regional commercial landscape. For locals, a company's physical address is often a key piece of information that helps confirm its local presence. However, as the reviews suggest, a physical location does not guarantee a high standard of service or reliable communication. Potential clients who are considering the company might use this address to initiate contact or schedule a consultation. It's important for individuals to conduct their own due diligence when interacting with any service provider, and a company's physical location is just one piece of a larger puzzle. The address serves as a point of contact, but it's the company's business practices that ultimately define the customer experience.
---Based on the company's name and the available public data, Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief, LLC appears to offer a range of roofing and construction services, with a specific focus on disaster-related work. While the reviews offer a critical perspective on the execution of these services, they do provide insight into the types of projects the company takes on. Here is a list of the services that they are publicly known to provide:
- Roof replacement and installation for residential homes, including dealing with damage from hurricanes and other storms.
- General roofing repairs, although customer feedback raises concerns about the quality and timeliness of this work.
- Handling of insurance claims, with the company reportedly working with a legal representative to file supplemental claims on behalf of clients.
- Gutter installation and repair, a service that, according to a customer review, was contracted for but not completed.
- General construction and repair work, including interior fixes, though the reviews state that some of this claimed work was never performed.
The company’s focus on disaster relief suggests a business model centered on assisting homeowners in the wake of severe weather events. However, the documented accounts of uncompleted projects, poor communication, and disputes over billing and insurance claims are significant red flags that potential clients should consider when evaluating these services.
---Based on the provided public reviews, the company's features and highlights are a source of considerable concern for potential customers. While a business may present itself with certain claims, the lived experiences of clients often tell a different story. The highlights in the public data for Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief, LLC focus on the negative aspects of customer interaction. Here are some of the key points that are highlighted in the reviews:
- A history of leaving roofing projects unfinished, particularly before rain, leading to severe interior damage such as leaks and soaked insulation.
- A pattern of poor communication and unresponsiveness, with customers reporting that phone calls and requests for assistance went unanswered by management.
- Allegations of fraudulent behavior, including filing supplemental insurance claims for work that was never performed, such as tarping a roof or completing interior repairs.
- A failure to properly clean up job sites, leaving customers (including an elderly couple) to clean up debris and waste materials on their own.
- Reports of work being completed in a substandard manner, such as installing shingles on a wet roof, which led to a failed final inspection.
- A lack of accountability, with the company allegedly being unresponsive when confronted about the damages and issues caused by their work.
- Suspicion of fake or "spoofed" positive reviews, as stated by a customer who warned others to be skeptical of any 5-star ratings.
For individuals in the Ormond Beach area who need to contact Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief, LLC, the company's public contact information is as follows:
Address: 454 S Yonge St suite d, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, USA
Phone: (386) 677-7663
The phone number and address are the primary means of reaching the company. However, based on the customer feedback, it is important to be aware of the challenges that customers have faced in getting a timely and professional response from the company after initial contact.
---For locals in Florida, selecting a roofing contractor is a decision that requires careful consideration and due diligence. While Gulf Atlantic Industries of America Disaster Relief, LLC has a physical presence in Ormond Beach, the public data and customer reviews suggest that this company may not be a suitable choice for those seeking reliable, professional, and high-quality roofing and construction services. The documented experiences of customers, which include serious allegations of unfinished work, poor communication, fraudulent claims, and substandard workmanship, are significant red flags. In a market full of reputable contractors who pride themselves on integrity and customer satisfaction, these accounts make it difficult to recommend this company as a trusted partner. Locals who are seeking to protect their homes and make sound investments should carefully weigh these public reports against any promises made by the company. It is always advisable to research a company's reputation, verify their licensing and insurance, and seek multiple bids and references before committing to a project, especially when the work involves critical home components like a roof. This approach will help ensure that you choose a partner who will truly act in your best interest.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Horrible Company! They start my roof before rain and did not finish, I got many leaks on my ceilings. Than they install new shingles on wet roof. My attic insulation must be exchange and all ceilings must be painted. I call the manager and ask for report to insurance. He said, ok. Nobody came to see the damage and from this time I have no contact with the Company. Final inspection is failed. I have new roof but worse then my 13 years old before hurricane and damage insulation and ceilings in my house.
January 24 · andy wosLate 2017: This company has had my check for over a month, and I can not even get a return call about when the work will be started. The office manager when I call says the business owner will call me right back and never does. Getting frustrated!Update 6/30/19: After complaining to Home Advisor I finally got them to complete the roofing part of the job a year and a half ago. They were concerned about their relationship with Home Advisor. However, they never did the gutter work and they did not clean up the mess of roofing materials they left. My wife and I (both in our 70’s) had to go out and clean it up and drag the trash to the curb. I gave up on getting the gutter work done. I don’t want them near my house. They were paid almost $6,000 for a 1,200 sq foot manufactured home. Then I get a call from my insurance company that they were putting in a supplemental claim for $25,000 saying that they did a lot of work that they never did. One claim was for $7,000 to cover the roof with a temporary tarp. There was NEVER a tarp placed on the house. They claim they did thousands of dollars of work on the interior of the house. They NEVER even came in the door. This is a company of crooks. Today 6/30/19 I got a call from a young lawyer saying he was representing the roofing company against my insurance company. He was nice and had no idea what kind of people he was representing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Oh yes, if you see any 5 star reviews, do not believe them. The owner of the company spoofs his own reviews! Home Advisor told me they have since dropped this company.
June 30 · James JonesDO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKS! They are dishonest and will bilk the insurance company for thousands more than the estimate they gave you. My neighbor, an immigrant with limited English was not given a written bid and signed a contract that did not specify the amount of the job! They showed up the day before Thanksgiving when there was a 100% chance of heavy downpours forecast for the following day. They left the job unfinished and the rain damaged the ceiling and insulation in the attic. They refused to look at the damage. In addition, although they said the job would be about $12,000, they took the insurance check for $5,700 and are now coming after the customer for the deductible, $3,700. They filed the insurance company an additional $9,000! Today, only 4 days after the job was completed they notified the customer that they are placing a mechanics lien on his home! DO NOT HIRE these guys, no matter how desperate you are to get the job done. They will low-ball the estimate and go after the insurance company for $1,000's more. THEY ARE CROOKS!
December 01 · Hank MangelsI have left quite a few reviews on their Facebook page that can now no longer be found. This company is HORRIBLE! Took them more than 6 months to complete the job. During that time frame we were hit by Hurricane Irma which since the work was not done it created a leak INSIDE our house. If my son had been sleeping in his bedroom that night the ceiling above his bed would have fallen on his HEAD! Now we have word that they charged our insurance more than $40G's to roof a house that is no more than 1500 sq ft!Other things are: The last crew had left their trash all over my yard, didn't pick up the nails properly so I ended getting a nail in my car tire and and riding lawn mower tire.My Lani (covered, enclosed area behind house) STILL LEAKS! It never leaked before they worked on my roof.No kind of restituition for the ceiling coming down in my son's bedroom.Too add salt to the wound... We couldnt get help from FEMA for said hurricaine damage because said damage stemmed from Gulf Atlantic not finishing their work!!!
April 10 · Violet FemmeI signed contract with them in November 2017 as of now my roof is not fix yet. Dan, the owner sent estimate of $41000 to replace my roof. I got 2 estimates $2300 and $1400 to fix it. Wow! What a scam!Stay away from this people!I will fix my roof and let my lawyer deal with him.
