Highly recommend this company! Mr. Hynes was outstanding. Very informative about the process of cleaning the fire/smoke damage to our unit. He gave dates for every step, was on point, and kept me updated the entire time. I never once had to call for questions concerning anything due to his outstanding costumer service.

While the craftsmanship of their 2 former employees who worked in our home was fantastic, the lack of communication and prolonged absenteeism led to our remodel lasting from March 2022-Aug 2023. 6+ months of 2023 was absenteeism with zero communication.Initially, their work schedule exhibited promise, with a designated window of 8:30-9am until 2pm. However, as time passed, punctuality eroded, culminating in late arrivals around 11am and even days of absence without any communication.Communication breakdowns further compounded our concerns, as sporadic appearances began after 2023, which gave way to zero appearances and silence Feb through mid-April, during which time our permit had unknowingly expired. We were the ones to discover the issue, but when we called about it, we were treated as if it wasn’t a big deal. We did get a new form though, which we notarized and gave back.Communication with the main office yielded indifference, denying our request for an additional contractor after our primary contractors incapacitation. We underwent a15-week hiatus while being told several times throughout to expect them “next week”. Our other contractor (we found out when he arrived had actually quit the company due to the financial constraints while waiting on the main contractor) arrived to complete the job. To our dismay, a couple of items were missing, but he went out of his way (when he didn’t have to since he didn’t work for R2 anymore) to fix a missing oven drawer. Communication with the main contractor, who was discovered to also no longer work for the company, revealed he considered the remaining larder/pantry doors as not part of the contract, which went against the many conversations we had, as well as not make sense because they’d installed additional wood work in order to support the door installation. Despite this, we paid out the remaining balance presented to us by that contractor and considered everything over and done with and would just hire another company to fix the remaining things.However, Austin, their representative, randomly reached out a week later asking to visit to our home to look at the kitchen and read the copies of the contract I had. Despite acknowledging what was written in the contract, Austin requested payment for completing what was missing—essentially asking us to pay the company twice. Offended, we said no. Then, after posting this review, the owner of the company reached out and stated he hadn’t known what was going on, that he was told something different from Austin, and also had issue with the words I’ve written— I have since edited it to focus on the continuing lack of communication.Again, the work completed was exemplary, but R2’s failure to monitor employees, lack of transparent communication, failure to ensure permits remained valid throughout the scope of a project and employee absenteeism led to our remodel lasting at least 6 months longer than it should have and left us dissatisfied with their business acumen.
