Atech Roofing and seamless gutters Introduce
For homeowners in Tennessee, the decision to hire a roofing contractor is one of the most critical choices they will make for their property. A roof is the primary defense against the elements, and its proper installation and maintenance are essential for protecting the entire home and the family within it. When seeking a professional to handle such a vital project, local residents rightfully expect a company to be reliable, transparent, and skilled. Atech Roofing and seamless gutters, located in Dandridge, TN, is a company that has been a subject of significant concern among some of its customers. Public feedback indicates a pattern of issues that local residents should be aware of when considering them for a roofing or gutter project. While some past clients may have had successful experiences with minor jobs, more recent and detailed accounts raise serious questions about the company's professionalism, quality of work, and communication practices. This overview is intended to provide a factual, balanced perspective based on available public data, so that homeowners in the Tennessee region can make an informed decision when it comes to their home's most important protection.
Atech Roofing and seamless gutters is located at 142 Hidden Valley Dr, Dandridge, TN 37725, USA. While a local presence is often a positive attribute for a contractor, ensuring accessibility and a deep understanding of regional needs, the company's location should be considered in the context of the customer experiences detailed in public reviews. For residents in Dandridge and the surrounding communities, the ease of finding a local business can be appealing, but it's crucial to look beyond just the address. The ability of a contractor to be physically present in the area is only beneficial if it is matched by a commitment to timely communication and showing up for scheduled appointments. According to reviews, this has been a major point of contention, with customers planning their schedules around appointments that the company failed to keep, without adequate notice or communication. This suggests that while their location may be accessible, their operational reliability and accountability may not meet the standards expected by local homeowners. For any significant construction project, especially those related to roofing, the contractor's ability to be present, on time, and communicative is just as important as their physical proximity to the job site. Therefore, while Atech Roofing's address places them within the Dandridge community, their reported behavior may negate the typical advantages of hiring a local company.
Based on public reviews, Atech Roofing and seamless gutters offers a range of services related to roofing and gutter systems. However, the quality and execution of these services have been highly disputed by customers. The services they reportedly offer or have been hired to perform include:
- Roof Vent Installation: One customer noted a successful experience with the installation of a roof vent, as well as ridge ventilation on a separate occasion.
- Flashing and Boot Replacements: A customer review details hiring the company to install flashing, replace an electrical pipe boot, and other boot replacements. However, this work was later found to be improperly installed or left unfinished.
- Gutter Services: The company's name includes "seamless gutters," and a customer mentioned hiring them to tighten loose gutters. This suggests that gutter installation and repair are among their services.
- General Roof Repair: Customers have hired them for a variety of roofing needs, from minor repairs to more complex issues. However, reviews indicate that the quality of these repairs has been a source of significant problems, including new leaks and the use of improper or old materials.
- Project Management and Scheduling: While this is a core expectation of any contractor, a recurring theme in public feedback is the company's failure to adhere to scheduled appointments and a lack of communication.
Based on the available public information, the features and highlights of Atech Roofing and seamless gutters appear to be a mix of both positive and negative experiences. It is essential for local residents to consider all feedback when evaluating the company. The following is a summary of reported features and highlights:
- Inconsistent Service: While some customers have had positive experiences with smaller jobs, such as installing a roof vent, these seem to be outweighed by more recent and critical accounts. This inconsistency in service quality is a major red flag for potential clients.
- Poor Communication: A key point of frustration for customers has been the company's communication failures. Reviews describe ignoring calls, texts, and emails for extended periods, and failing to show up for scheduled appointments without notice. This lack of communication can cause significant problems for homeowners who have planned their schedules around the contractor.
- Unprofessional Conduct: The behavior described by customers, including making and breaking multiple appointments, ignoring communication, and allegedly leaving work unfinished, points to a pattern of unprofessional conduct. One review specifically mentioned that only after a threat of legal action and reporting to the BBB did the company respond.
- Subpar Workmanship: A major concern raised in reviews is the quality of the work itself. Customers have reported that the work done was improper, used incorrect and old materials, and led to new issues like leaks. This not only fails to solve the original problem but creates new, costly ones for the homeowner.
- Allegations of Lack of Licensing and Insurance: A particularly serious claim made by a customer is the company's alleged lack of licensing and insurance, despite claiming to be so. This is a critical factor for any homeowner, as an unlicensed and uninsured contractor can expose them to significant financial and legal risks.
For those considering reaching out to Atech Roofing and seamless gutters, the available contact information is as follows. The business is located at 142 Hidden Valley Dr, Dandridge, TN 37725, USA. The primary phone number is (865) 307-7141, and the mobile phone number is +1 865-307-7141. It is important to note that public reviews have highlighted significant issues with communication, including calls and text messages being ignored. Therefore, potential clients should be aware of these reported challenges when attempting to make contact or schedule an appointment. Given the serious nature of the concerns raised in customer feedback, it is highly recommended that any individual seeking a roofing or gutter service conduct thorough due diligence, including verifying licensing and insurance information, before entering into any agreement.
For residents of Tennessee, especially those in the Dandridge area, selecting a reliable roofing contractor is a decision that requires careful consideration. Based on public feedback, Atech Roofing and seamless gutters may not be a suitable choice for locals due to significant and repeated issues with professionalism, communication, and quality of work. While a local contractor is often preferred for their community presence and accessibility, the experiences shared by customers suggest that these benefits are overshadowed by a pattern of unreliable service and questionable business practices. The claims of unfinished work, improper installation leading to new leaks, and a complete breakdown in communication are severe and can result in significant financial and emotional stress for homeowners. Furthermore, the serious allegation regarding licensing and insurance should be a major concern for anyone considering their services. A reliable contractor should provide peace of mind, not cause additional problems. Locals in need of roofing and gutter services would be wise to heed the advice of those who have shared their experiences, save their money and time, and seek out a different company with a verifiable track record of professional conduct, quality workmanship, and reliable communication. For a project as important as a roof, a contractor's reputation for integrity and competence is paramount, and public reviews suggest that Atech Roofing and seamless gutters falls short in these critical areas.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Well the first time we used Tammy and Darryl they did a good job installing a roof vent for us. The second time we used them for ridge ventilation, and again, they did a good job for us. Recently we needed something else done and we made an appointment and they never showed up. We got in touch with them, they made a second appointment and at the end of the day, they let us know they couldn't make it but would be here Saturday. Well two days later rolls around and they are again a no-show. We were actually going to still give them a chance at the job but they are ignoring all calls and text messages. When doing a construction project, planning and communication is key. We planned our schedule around them and it caused us problems. Not being able to communicate with them was even worse. Not sure what went on with them but I can no longer recommend them.
May 16 · Sue ArmstrongStay far, far away from this company. They are con artists, unprofessional, install things improperly and leave unfinished work. They have no idea what they are doing. All of the "work" they did was done/installed improperly which has now caused leaks and other issues to arise with our roof. We paid them $2000 to basically do NOTHING. They will take your money and run and you will never hear from them again. Full experience below...We hired them 2 years ago when we bought our home to install flashing, replace the electrical pipe boot, couple other boot replacements, tightening lose gutters, and a few other things. Last year, I tried getting in contact with Atech because when we were up on the roof, we noticed the electrical boot was never replaced. I tried getting in contact with them only for them to ignore all my calls, emails and voicemails. I wanted them to come back and complete the work that I had paid them to do in the first place. They were ignoring me for 2 weeks UNTIL I sent them an email explaining to them that when I looked them up on Tennessee's Department of Commerce and Insurance they never came up. I also told them I would report them to the BBB and take legal action against them. I don't even believe they are licensed and insured like they claim to be.Once they received that email, funny enough I got a call back immediately from Daryl saying that he was "out of town" and that he can come back and complete the unfinished work. What a joke! Even after coming back for a second time, he left work unfinished!Fast forward to now, we have a terrible leak in our laundry room so we brought a different roofing company to take a look for us. They told us EVERYTHING was installed improperly. Incorrect shingles were used, popped nails, old/used material was used, among many other things. We now have to pay another company to ACTUALLY have our roof fixed.Save your money, your home, your time and your sanity and stay away from this company!
February 27 · Maria G.I need someone to contact me (Barbara). I left a few texts messages this week with no response and you can’t leave a message because your mailbox is full.
June 11 · Barbara SchwarzCharged me a flat $500 just to get on the roof and fix a loose shingle. I supplied the shingle. A month later the same shingle blew off again. Charges you based upon his perception of your ability to pay. Doesn't care.
September 04 · Joe PerserCharged us $3000 to replace all screws on a metal roof. They replaced them with same size or smaller instead of bigger which cause leaks EVERYWHERE on the roof. They also missed the studs, left numerous holes, and left screws EVERYWHERE. We have been battling leaks for months. Been trying to get a hold of them for months now. They seem to have fallen off a cliff because we get no response. The roof is worse than before they worked on it. We ended up having to get a different roofer to deal with it.
