Champion Replacement Windows of Knoxville Introduce
In Tennessee, where our homes are constantly exposed to a wide range of weather conditions, from humid summers to chilly winters, a home’s exterior is its first line of defense. The quality of your windows, doors, and siding plays a significant role in your home's energy efficiency, comfort, and overall value. For homeowners in the Knoxville area considering an upgrade, Champion Replacement Windows of Knoxville is a well-known name in the home improvement industry. The company is a part of a larger national brand with a history of manufacturing its own products, which is a key aspect of their business model. This article aims to provide a clear and factual overview of Champion Replacement Windows of Knoxville, based on publicly available information, to help local residents better understand the company and its services. As a general contractor specializing in key exterior components, they offer a variety of products designed to improve a home's curb appeal and performance.
Champion's business model centers on manufacturing their own windows, doors, and sunrooms. This approach is intended to provide a direct-to-consumer experience, which can be an attractive option for homeowners who want a single company to handle both the manufacturing and installation of their products. The company’s messaging highlights a commitment to providing products that are built for local weather and designed to save homeowners money on energy bills. However, it's worth noting that customer experiences can be varied. Some homeowners have praised their installers for being "excellent" and for doing an "amazing job" with a "perfect" cleanup. Other customers have reported significant issues with installation quality, property damage, and a lack of responsiveness from the company, even on substantial projects. These mixed reviews are an important factor for any local user to consider when evaluating a contractor for a major home project. The goal is to provide a balanced and factual overview, acknowledging both the positive and negative feedback that exists in the public domain.
The company’s reputation, like many large contractors, is built on a range of experiences. On one hand, some customers have expressed satisfaction with the final look of their new windows and doors, noting a perceived improvement in energy efficiency. On the other hand, multiple reviews highlight serious concerns, including poor installation quality, such as windows not being square and exterior trim being poorly caulked. In a particularly distressing case, a customer reported a crew leaving a significant mess, causing injuries to their children from construction debris. Furthermore, a common point of contention seems to be the company's post-installation service and warranty claims. Customers have reported difficulties getting a response to issues and being charged a "service fee" to fix what they considered to be initial installation errors. While some have praised the company's communication, others have stated that "communication is not the best" and that they had to make multiple calls without a return call. This variance in customer experience is a critical point for any local resident to be aware of when considering this company for their home improvement needs.
Champion Replacement Windows of Knoxville is located at 3501 Workman Rd Suites E, Knoxville, TN 37921, USA. This location places them in a central area of Knoxville, making their showroom and service accessible to residents throughout the city and surrounding communities. As a company with a physical presence in Knoxville, they serve as a local option for people in East Tennessee looking for replacement windows, doors, and other exterior products. However, it's important to note that the company is part of a larger national chain, which can influence how they operate and manage customer service. While they have a local office, their policies and procedures are often set at a corporate level. This can sometimes create a disconnect for local customers who expect a more personalized, small-business approach. The company's business model is structured to serve a wide area, and they offer in-home consultations, which is a convenient service for homeowners who may not be able to visit their physical location. Their widespread presence in the region makes them a well-known option for many people beginning a home improvement search.
Accessibility is a key part of their operation, as they aim to reach a broad customer base. Their location on Workman Road is a point of contact for consultations and inquiries. They also provide a phone number, (865) 551-6029, for direct communication, which is a standard method for customers to get in touch. However, as noted in several public reviews, the effectiveness of this communication can be a concern for some customers. Reports of unreturned phone calls and unresponsive service departments are a consistent theme in negative feedback. This suggests that while the channels for communication exist, the execution of customer service may not always meet local users' expectations. For a homeowner embarking on a significant project, a reliable line of communication is essential for managing expectations, addressing concerns, and ensuring a smooth process from beginning to end. This is a vital point for locals to consider, especially when a project involves a substantial financial commitment and can impact the safety and comfort of their home.

- Replacement Windows: They specialize in the sale and installation of various types of windows, including double-hung, casement, sliding, bay, and bow windows. They promote their own brand of windows, which feature Comfort 365 Window® Glass and other energy-efficient technologies.
- Entry Doors & Exterior Doors: The company installs a range of entry doors, storm doors, and patio doors. Customers have reported having both positive and negative experiences with these installations, with some noting issues with improper bracket installation and product durability over time.
- Vinyl Siding: Champion also offers vinyl siding services, which can be an option for homeowners looking to update their home's exterior appearance and improve its energy efficiency.
- Sunrooms: As part of their larger product line, they also design and build custom sunrooms, providing an option for homeowners who want to add a new living space to their home.
- Gutters: The company offers gutter installation services, sometimes as part of a larger exterior project.
The company’s model of manufacturing and installing their own products is a key part of their service offering. They often run promotions and special offers, which may be appealing to customers looking for a deal. However, it's important for local users to thoroughly research the quality of the products and the installation process, as a variety of customer experiences have been reported, ranging from very positive to very negative. This comprehensive list of services suggests that Champion aims to be a one-stop-shop for many exterior home improvement needs, which can be convenient for some homeowners.
Based on publicly available information, Champion Replacement Windows of Knoxville has several features and highlights that are consistently mentioned in customer feedback, both positive and negative.
- In-House Manufacturing: A key feature is that Champion manufactures its own products, including windows and sunrooms. This is often promoted as a way to control quality and offer better warranties.
- Energy-Efficient Products: The company's products, such as their Comfort 365 Windows, are designed with features like Low-E glass and argon gas to improve a home’s energy efficiency, which is a major selling point for many homeowners.
- National Brand with Local Presence: As part of a larger national company, they offer the backing of a well-known brand, but they also have a local office and installers in Knoxville. This can be seen as both a strength and a weakness, depending on the customer's experience.
- Warranty Concerns: A recurring point in negative reviews is a dissatisfaction with the company’s warranty process and service calls. Some customers have reported being required to pay a service fee for what they believe are manufacturing or installation defects.
- Mixed Installation Quality: There are reviews that praise the installation crew for being "excellent" and professional, but there are also multiple reports of poor workmanship, lack of cleanup, and property damage, including injuries to children from left-behind debris.
- Varied Customer Service: Communication is a highlight for some customers who found the staff to be helpful and respectful, while others have reported a complete lack of response to their calls and complaints, even after significant issues arose.
These highlights demonstrate a company with a dual reputation. They have a product that some customers find appealing and effective, but their service and installation quality appear to be inconsistent, leading to a wide range of customer outcomes. For local users, a thorough investigation of these varying experiences is crucial before committing to a project.

Champion Replacement Windows of Knoxville is a notable option for locals in the region due to its brand recognition and wide range of services. For a homeowner considering a major exterior renovation project, the company offers a variety of products, from windows and doors to siding and sunrooms. However, the available public data and customer reviews paint a picture of highly varied customer experiences. While some homeowners have had very positive interactions and are happy with their new products, others have faced significant challenges with installation quality, property damage, and a lack of responsive customer service. For local users, this suggests that due diligence is paramount. While the company's promise of a superior product and service is a strong selling point, the reality of the customer experience, as reflected in the reviews, is a key factor to consider. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The crew that was out at our home made a big mess inside our living room, downstairs bath, upstairs bath, and laundry room and just left it for me to clean up, over sprayed foam on our ceilings and left it, they left debris all over our driveway that injured my 4 year old daughter and my 1 year old son (a rusty construction staple went into her foot and my son fell on a metal shard from the window we had the luxury of pulling out of a baby), used our bathrooms - left the seats up and peed on the side of the bowl, the cuts on the exterior trim was done poorly and not caulked, they drilled through multiple windows, left caulking guns in the driveway, and left our second home on the properties front door open in a rainstorm..:Called and called, even had our sales rep help escalate it and nothing.$21k project and children hurt from your workers isn’t enough for a call back. 💔
June 16 · Kari FisherTL;DR - Champion installs key door components incorrectly resulting in door not closing properly and refuses to come fix their error without a $130 "service fee." B.S!!!Call me if you want to make this right, since your employee on the phone did not.Edit to add: Then Sunday 6/1 I used the push switch to open the window screen and it went down very fast, made a terrible screeching noise and detached both sides of the screen itself from the door. The screen was then in the way of the latches and the glass pane could not be shut. At this point I need a whole new door!!I'm leaving a 1 star review due to 4 issues. THANKFULLY everything else has been fine so far. We had our ENTIRE house rewindowed in 2023 and a new front storm door put in.Issue 1: within a few weeks we noticed some of the white stripping near a window buckling up. They came out and "reglued" it. It didn't last a day.Issue 2: within a year the bottom pneumatic device on our front door literally broke off on one side. They came out and "fixed" it.Issue 3: Propmted this review - We had a new storm door installed through another company as we started having issues without our champion storm door again, less than a year later. That installer informs us exactly WHY that is. Champion installed the brackets on both the top and bottom pneumatic devices BACKWARDS allowing for the metal to be bent over time if the door was opened "too far" whether this is by user, wind, etc. Champion will NOT come out and fix their installer's incompetence without us paying their $130 "service fee." By the way, these parts can be bought online for about $18, each and they are not hard to install, at all.Issue 4: Edit to add: - Sunday 6/1 I used the push switch to open the window screen and it went down very fast, made a terrible screeching noise and detached both sides of the screen itself from the door. The screen was then in the way of the latches and the glass pane could not be shut. So I had 2 options, 1) leave the glass pane down and let rain, wind, elements and bugs onto the inside door or 2) rip the screen material out so the pane could be shut. I ripped it out, obviously. At this point I need an entire new door. For $1,400 this is UNACCEPTABLE within 2 years!!First picture is the bent metal bracket.2nd picture is how it should be installed. 👍3rd & 4th pictures are what happened to the screen on Sunday 6/1.
June 02 · Leslie RenaeWe are very pleased with the window upgrade with champion. They replaced old 2008 sunroom windows with triple pane windows and new slider. Richard & Pete were very professional and pleasant. While our project took several days, everything was cleaned up daily and there was a low limit of noise.
April 01 · Debra YoungbloodShaun and his team were fantastic. Very professional and extremely caring about their work. Such Quality work! We couldn’t be happier. Love the windows! February 28 · Michael RoarkHaving not known where to go for replacement windows, I decided to go with Champion. The reasons, they had a great promotion and they were very responsive to my initial request for proposal.I'm very happy I made the choice to go with Champion. From Justin the salesman to Richard the installation supervisor to Shawn the on-site installation team lead and then to the crew that did the work to install the 13 windows - they all have been remarkable, to say the least. They arrived at 8:30 a.m. and were driving out at 2:00 p.m. WOW!They've been professional, knowledgeable, respectful, kind, and did a great cleanup after the installation was completed. If anyone is looking to have their residential windows replaced I highly suggest and recommend Champion. We're having siding done soon, Champion will be the first folks I call.
