★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Awful customer service. I’m a local contractor. I used to deal with Harvey Building Products years ago before they sold to Lansing. They were bad after the buyout(lots of employee turnover, sales staff completely uneducated about the products they are selling, etc) so I stopped doing business with them. Was doing a job locally to the Salem branch recently and decided(against my better judgment) to order 7 double hung window units and a gliding patio door from them. When the products came in and I set up delivery only the patio door was delivered, so I had to square that away. Then 3 out of the 7 windows were shipped to me with tears in the screens. I went into Lansing branch and was told I had to contact the screen manufacturer, so I called the screen manufacturer from the parking lot of the Lansing branch…….the person I talked to was shocked that the lansing person told me to call her. She offered to help me by contacting the general rep for Lansing herself, which I then went back in and told the Lansing sales guy inside and then I walked back out to my truck to call her. ……..after a few moments he walked out to my truck to get screen information and told me he’d look into and I never heard back. Now, I know how to re-screen and I ended up doing that myself, but the point is that I shouldn’t have to on brand new windows. This should have been taken care of by Lansing. The good news is that since the sale of HBP to LBP Jackson Lumber is also now a Harvey vendor, so I can get my Harvey windows and doors from them, which I will always do in the future. Whenever I have an issue with any product that came from Jackson, the Jackson rep tells me to send him a picture and he takes care of the issue. Lansing just wants to sell vinyl siding and roofing, abysmal company. Only reason I’m being generous enough to leave one star is their delivery driver was a nice guy who offered to help me hand carry the windows down around to the back of the house, which he didn’t need to do.
April 25 · kevin cullenWas worried when harvey got bought out… they have been spot on …. Even have been able to match some faded siding colors… quality people and excellent service at the counter…
April 23 · Stephen GiordanoAwful customer service, delivered defective product then tried to tell me I needed to contact Harvey to correct, finally took window back a week ago, they stated they would call me the next day to let me know the status, still haven’t heard anything. Maybe I’ll be able to take the plywood off the open window opening soon. Harvey had good customer service with knowledgeable staff, at least enough knowledge that they left the company once Lansing took over.
September 24 · Lee StevensHigh quality products high quality customer service! In stock inventory is above average
March 29 · Christopher BellSome of the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. An order was placed through my contractor about 3 months ago and paid in full card was charged, typical lead time is 4 to 6 weeks on a sliding glass door.. after about 8 weeks started to get concerned and tried contacting the branch. Mike the general manager of the store has yet to acknowledge there was any type of problem and I'm still waiting for a call back has been about 8 business days. After being given the runaround from the location i contact to the corporate office in Virginia asked to speak with a regional manager still waiting for a call back.. The door was picked up yesterday and has an order date of 9/15.. yet the card was charged in June... The transition from Harvey to Lansing has been terrible unfortunately I paid in full for the door when I first purchased it so I don't see me being able to get money back.. This has delayed my project at least 2 months just absolutely ridiculous.
