What is worth choosing
Choosing a contractor is a deeply personal and significant decision, as it involves entrusting a professional with the well-being of your home. It's an investment that requires careful consideration of a contractor's reputation, communication skills, and quality of work. While Not-A-Con Home Improvements offers services that are in high demand in the Lewiston area, a specific customer review raises some important considerations for potential clients. A review from a customer who hired the company for a window installation describes a prolonged process, poor preparedness, and dissatisfaction with the final result. The customer states that the project took a month to complete, with the contractor not arriving on schedule and leaving the work incomplete, having damaged a wall and trim. The review also notes that the contractor reportedly stated he was only hired for the carpentry, not the subsequent repairs needed after the damage, suggesting a lack of accountability for a finished product. This experience highlights the critical importance of clear communication, detailed contracts, and reliability. When considering a contractor, it is always a good practice to ask for a detailed, written contract that specifies the scope of work, timeline, and what will happen in the event of unexpected damage or delays. Additionally, requesting references and examples of past work can help you gauge a contractor’s reliability and the quality of their craftsmanship. While one review does not represent the entire body of a company’s work, it does provide valuable insight into a potential client experience. For those considering Not-A-Con Home Improvements, it would be wise to have a thorough discussion upfront to establish clear expectations regarding the project timeline, scope of work, and responsibility for any potential damage. By taking these proactive steps, homeowners can better ensure a smoother and more satisfactory outcome for their home improvement needs.

Not-A-Con Home Improvements Reviews
Seller chose this guy to install a window. It took him a month and he never came prepared. We had to wait around for an entire month every weekend for him to decide when he was going to finish. Then he destroyed my wall and trim. Told us he was only hired to do the carpentry part, and that we could hire him to repaint and fill the wall gaps back in. Ummmm... you destroyed the wall and just left it. I went ahead and called another company had the whole upstairs painted instead. They fixed it perfectly. Would not recommend this guy
