★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have used Kennebec roofing twice and been exceedingly pleased with both their prices, quality of work, honest time line expectations but foremost their honesty. This may be a little long winded but worth a read if this type of in short supply integrity is important to you.If not, 5 Stars, I'd use them again and again...After my first job with them on a fairly large and complicated new build we did have 1 small issue which was to be expected on a job of that size, in fact that there was only 1 amazed me.George reacted immediately and had the issue corrected within days, no argument. He said I might want to consider ice dams which were not cheap but I took his advice and had them install and happily paid for.End of issue.I was so pleased with their work and attitude that I asked them for a quote on 2 out of 3 camp buildings I had up North. They quoted me and said they were a year out (it is a fair distance from their usual territory and they wanted to stack a few jobs up that way if they could, which was fine). They also warned that material costs were about to about double (Covid related, of course) and I might want to buy the metal now.I agreed and wrote them a check and returned back to life as usual.Just about a year later they called me and said they were ready to start.I said great and that I'd meet his crew up there to help get them set and make sure we were all on the same page.Happily we were on the same page.3/4 of the way through the job of stripping the old and applying the new I lamented to the foreman that I wished I had contractedthem to do all the buildings, it looked so good.He said "well we're here, I'll take some measurements and call George" which he did.George called me immediately and said he was working on it but that he just wanted me to understand that the price for this final building might be darn close to the other 2 put together because of the material cost increases.I said I understood and told him it is what it is and I understand and since a price drop was unlikely unless it was stupid crazy I'd probably do it.He called me back in a few hours and said he had good news.I'll admit, I'm not very used to those words from contractors but I said hit me.He said his foreman said we had some material left from the first 2 buildings and that they had found some other extra pieces, in the right color and had enough to do the job with the older priced metal!Who does that?In my eyes only an honest person(s), that's who.I would have had no way of knowing and on top of that made it pretty clear I'd likely do the job anyway. The job was a pain in the butt, involved lots of travel and was off the grid.Their cleanup was immaculate (I've not found a stray nail or fitting yet) and while we did have 1 leak around the chimney he sent a guy up twice to attend to it no questions asked other than a follow up call to make sure it was all dry and tight.Their crew was extremely polite and to the point and seemed enthusiastic, maybe because I kept them fed but I think otherwise. Can't wait for the next job-I find them a great company from top to bottom and those I've referred to them feel the same.Feel free to e-mail me with anything I've left out of other questions-I'm a fan.Frankfofassett@gmail.com.

January 11 · Frank FassettVery happy with the quality of work & service. My roof was leaking which was resulting in a lot of wetness and damage in my living room ceiling. My husband called Kennebec Roofing and they were able to schedule a time to fix the issue very promptly. They worked quickly and were professional and courteous and did a good job cleaning up every day they were here. The roof looks great and with the heavy rain the last couple days my ceiling has stayed completely dry. Thank you!

May 01 · Mackenzie O'BenNeeding to replace a roof is never a fun expense but Kennebec roofing made it a very smooth and stress free process. They were very transparent about COVID related material shortages and were able to fit us in quickly. They were efficient, cleaned up the property afterwards, and responded to any questions/concerns promptly. 2 years in and the metal standing seam roof looks great and no issues with rain or snow. Strongly recommend.

June 20 · Matthew MasonAfter hiring Kennebec Roofing for a couple of jobs for our apartment rental business, we had a windstorm which took off a small portion of roof. I contacted them to repair it. However, they informed me that they would have to charge $1,200 to simply tarp the roof to keep rain out until they had time to repair it. Being desperate, (rain coming next day) I reluctantly agreed, telling myself there must be some mistake, that he would charge less once he saw how little there was to do. However, the bill was for the full $1,200 even though we sent our people over to do cleanup which he said might help reduce the cost. He admitted that the price was so high because he was busy and it became clear that he was engaging in good, old fashioned “opportunism” (supply and demand on steroids!) Needless to say we will not be using him or his questionable ethics ever again. To be completely fair. He did high quality work on the jobs he did do. Hence my 2 stars vs. 0.
